I shared with you last week the Shabby Chic frame I made from Mod Melts. Well, I had so much fun playing with the product that I kept on playing and made these cute Mod Melt necklaces for my little drama queens. Doesn’t every little drama queen need a crown necklace? I’ll show you how I did it.
Here’s what you need:
Mod Melt Sticks
Mod Melt Mold
Mini hot glue gun
A sheet of glitter paper
Mod Podge acrylic shapes
Heat up your glue gun and add your Mod Melt stick and make your crowns. After it has cooled 10 min. pop the crowns out of the molds.
Paint them with your nail polish or paint, whatever you have.
Once the nail polish is dry, add your nail jewels to the indents in the crown. I used Mod Podge to adhere them. Once all my jewels were in place I added a layer of Mod Podge on top of the whole crown.
Here is a picture of the acrylic shapes I bought.
Next take your glitter paper and trace your Mod Pogde acrylic shapes. I chose circles.
Cut out the shapes and Mod Podge the glitter paper to the acrylic. The circles I chose did not have holes in them so I had my husband drill two holes in them so I could add a jump ring to each one.
Add your jump ring and ribbon.
Glue the crowns to the glitter paper. My favorite glue for this type of project is E6000. After the glue is dry, I added a coat of Mod Podge across the whole necklace to seal the glitter.
You are now done and your drama queens can enjoy their necklaces.
G-ma’s drama queens!
Don’t forget to check out how I did this Shabby Chic Frame.
