I’m excited to share with you this yummy Apple Maple Granola that my daughter, Adriane and grand daughters Addy & Syd made. This is perfect for fall with fresh, crisp apples in abundance.
What you’ll need:
3 medium apples, cored and chopped
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup almonds, chopped
1/4 cup flax seed
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup room temperature butter,
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp vanilla
This is Addy busy chopping the cored apples into pieces.
And this is Syd busy chopping up the almonds.
Preheat your oven to 325F. Place your chopped apples, oats, almonds, flax seed and cinnamon on a large baking sheet and mix together. Take the butter and mix the granola mixture with your hands, until only small pieces remain.
Pour the vanilla and maple syrup on the baking sheet, and mix the ingredients together with your hands.
Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes, then stir the granola to break up large clumps. Put the granola back in the oven and bake for 20 more minutes, until the granola is mostly dry. Toss the granola once more and let it cool completely on the baking sheet before storing or serving. Store in a mason jar or a large Ziploc baggie.

Not only is this recipe a yummy recipe it’s also healthy. I like granola just as a snack, no milk. Do you eat your granola with milk or without it?
