I was able to get back up stairs and finish this round of the boys bedroom and I’m excited to share it with you. The industrial look seems to be a trend and I love the look and thought it would be great for my boys bathroom. Of course, my mind starts trying to figure out how I could make these. It seems like I’m not the first one and I found this easy tutorial here. Lori does a fabulous job showing you how it all goes together.
For the towel bar you will need:
1/2″ black pipe cut to the size you want it.
(2)- 1/2″ 90 degree elbows
(2)- 1/2″ nipples
(2) 1/2″ flanges
Home Depot will cut and thread your pipe for free. The flanges are a little pricey. They cost @$5.00 a piece and you need two of them. The piping is around $10.00 for a 10 ft piece which gave me enough with some leftover for all three of my projects.
I created this printable to go along with the nautical theme and hung it above the new towel bar.
I also made a curtain rod. It goes together just like the towel bar and needs the exact same supplies as the towel bar. I used tea towels for the valance that I bought at TJ Maxx for cheap. They tied in my nautical theme.

I also wanted an industrial shelf.
Here is what you need to make the shelf:
(2) 10″ (or whatever size you want) pipes.
(2) galvanized caps
(2) flanges
Here’s how you do it. Attach your flange to the wall where you want your shelf. Screw in your pipe and then screw on your cap. Do the same for the other side. Cut a board or purchase one the size you want it and paint or stain. The shelf just sits on the pipe because it’s more decorative.
I sat a basket on the shelf to hold rolls of toilet paper.
You can find a tutorial on how I took a drawer front and turned it into a sign. You can also download these two nautical prints on my Upcycled Nautical Sign blog post.

Barb, while your industrial bathroom fixtures are rocking, what I love even more is the valance you made. Any chance you can do a tutorial on that? Thanks and have a great 2018.
