I’m excited to share with you my easy DY Outdoor Christmas Swag. I love the look of a welcoming entrance when I drive up to my home. So, I was excited to start decorating my House Number Sign. I thought swags would be a great addition to the sign. Come see how I made them.
Supplies needed to make 2 Swags:
~2- 9 foot pieces of faux greenery
~2 Dollar Store Bows
~2 Dollar Store Ball ornaments
~Spool of ribbon
~2 glittered lime green picks
~hot glue gun
You can do this with fresh greenery but I had a 9 foot piece of greenery so decided to use what I had. Plus I can use it again, next year.
- Take one of the two pieces and bend it into thirds. Manipulate it so that the branches are full.
- Take your green pick and hot glue it about 2 inches from the top. Take your ball and hot glue the string onto the pick.
- Hot glue your red bow onto the pick and the top of the ball’s string. Leave approximately 2-3 inches of the greenery at the top showing, as shown below. Make a bow from a coordinating ribbon. This isn’t necessary but I wanted to bring in some other colors. Glue that onto the top of the red Dollar store bow.
- Hang your swag and enjoy the beauty.
