Today I’m starting Robin Long’s 21 Day Pilates Challenge. If you know me well, you know I don’t really enjoy exercising and will avoid it at all costs (ask my daughters). I’m not necessarily a slug. Most days I get 10,000 steps in but that’s because I’m more of a spazz than intentional. With GROW being my word for the year I want to improve how I treat my body. I want to get better at self-care! In the past, I’ve worked on detoxing my life and I continue to do that but I want to work on strength and flexibility so I will start her challenge and GROW in this area. While doing the Pilates challenge I would like to do something 15 minutes or less each day that promotes self-care and feeds my soul.
Here is a list of 30 Simple Self Care Ideas that feed my soul:

Those are some great suggestions … and those with 15 minutes are very appealing! I’d love for you to come share at Let’s Party! We look forward to you sharing! https://themarkandjanshow.com/2018/01/10/lets-party-3/
One thing I do for myself daily/nightly is read and rest when I get tired when cleaning or whatever am doing. Am 77 now so know my energy level isn’t what it was so don’t overdo. I get done what I get done even if it’s only cleaning bathroom in one day. Learned the hard way, had 4 kids, worked full time and pushed myself way too much. Was taught by Mother was selfish to do things for myself, not any more.
Want to live to a ripe old age ,lol, so know need to rest when tired.
Thanks for this great list, have printed out and saved for daughter. She’s 47, has two grown daughters and works full time at stressful job. She expresses anger at being overwhelmed often. I just listen and if she asks for advice will give it. Have learned from my own experiences with my Mother not to offer advice.
Happy New Year and hope you have wonderful week.
Wow JaneEllen, I’m proud of you for knowing your limits and listening to them. 🙂 I might know mine but don’t always listen. 🙁 Thanks for stopping by and letting me have a glimpse into your life. Blessings to you! Barb
