You didn’t plan to feel this way.
But somewhere along the way, you started believing that having needs… made you a problem.
You needed time, but it felt selfish.
You needed connection, but it felt like too much to ask.
You needed help, but you didn’t want to be a nag.
So you stayed quiet.
You stuffed it down.
You convinced yourself: “If I were stronger, I wouldn’t need anything.”

You feel like your needs are too much. You’ve been told (in words or actions) to stop being “needy.” So you over-function, over-serve, and under-receive. And deep down, you’re tired of pretending you’re fine.
But friend, here’s the truth: You were never meant to be need-less.
God created you to be a receiver, not just a giver.
A woman with a heart, a voice, and yes—needs that matter.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.” —Psalm 23:1 NLT
That doesn’t mean your needs disappear.
It means God sees them—and He cares.
Why Your Needs Aren’t a Burden
1. God Designed You With Needs
He formed your soul with capacity for love, comfort, rest, and belonging.
Your desire for connection isn’t clingy—it’s human. And it’s holy.
2. Jesus Cared for Women’s Needs
He didn’t dismiss the bleeding woman. He didn’t rush past Mary at His feet.
He stopped. He saw. He served.
✨ Your emotional, spiritual, and physical needs are not too much for Him.
3. You Can’t Pour from an Empty Heart
Shutting down your needs doesn’t make you stronger—it makes you disconnected.
You don’t honor God by running on fumes. You honor Him by letting Him fill you back up.
3 Truths to Carry into This Week
-
Needing care doesn’t make you weak. It makes you human.
-
You’re not “too much.” The right people will lean in—not away.
-
God never meant for you to carry it all alone.
Friend, your needs are not a burden.
They are invitations—for connection, for healing, for grace.
Don’t shrink to fit a version of womanhood God never asked you to be.
Let Him meet you where you’re dry.
Let Him pour into the parts of you that ache.
You are not too much.
You are not too needy.
You are deeply loved by a God who designed your needs—and delights in meeting them. 💛
