There was a version of you—younger, wide-eyed, full of hope—
who dreamed she’d become a woman of confidence, purpose, and peace.
She imagined laughing more. Worrying less.
Loving deeply.
Living boldly.
Thriving in her marriage. Walking closely with God.
But somewhere along the way…
-
Life got heavy
-
Marriage got hard
-
You started playing small to keep the peace
-
You poured out more than you were filled up
And now you wonder…
“Where did that version of me go?”
“Will I ever be her?”
“Did I miss my moment?”

You haven’t missed anything.
That girl you used to dream about?
She’s still in there.
Buried under pressure. Hidden beneath pain.
But not lost.
You’re not broken. You’re becoming.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
—Ephesians 2:10 NLT
Becoming Her Starts With Believing This:
-
You are still in process—and that’s not a problem.
-
Your worth isn’t tied to your performance.
-
God is more focused on who you’re becoming than what you’re achieving.
Becoming who God created you to be doesn’t happen in a perfect marriage, a peaceful season, or after your to-do list is cleared.
It happens in the tension.
In the “not yet.”
In the messy middle where faith gets real and God gets personal.
3 Ways to Step Into the Woman God Had in Mind
1. Trade Pressure for Presence
God isn’t asking you to hustle.
He’s inviting you to abide.
Slow down enough to hear His voice.
Let it shape your identity—not what your past, your husband, or the world has spoken over you.
2. Speak Truth Over Yourself—Daily
You won’t become her by accident.
You’ll become her on purpose.
Start each morning declaring what’s already true in heaven:
✨ I am chosen.
✨ I am redeemed.
✨ I am growing—even when it’s hard.
✨ I am not too much. I am not too late. I am deeply loved.
3. Let God Rewrite the Narrative
The old story said: You have to earn it. Fix it. Prove it.
The new story says:
“You are already mine.”
“Let Me lead you.”
“Be still and know that I am God.”
Guided Prayer
*Jesus, I want to become the woman You always had in mind. But I’ve lost touch with her. I’ve been busy trying to survive. Caught up in comparison. Tied to shame and old lies.
Today, I release the pressure to perform. I invite You into the becoming.
Heal what’s broken. Breathe on what’s dry.
Shape me into a woman who walks in truth, stands in peace, and lives from love.
I want to become her—with You, not apart from You.
In Your name, amen.*
