I can’t believe how fast time is flying by this Christmas season! I feel like I’ve lost a whole week or two. Anyway, I try and change up my mantel every year and I saw a version of this Quick & Easy Felt Christmas wreath on BHG and loved it. Not only was this project Quick & Easy it was also inexpensive. My favorite kind of project! I’ll show you how I did it.
I love to recycle my projects and I had made this wrapping paper wreath I made a couple years ago and it was looking ragged so I took off the paper and recycled the wreath.
These are the supplies you will need to make this wreath:
Straw wreath
2 sheets of felt in 6 different colors
pinking shears
straight sewing pins
2 felt snowflakes
wide ribbon in coordinating colors
hot glue gun
Lay your felt horizontally and cut 1″ strips.
Start placing the felt strips on the wreath, slightly overlapping them and then pin them in place. Don’t pull tight, but don’t leave loose. Continue working all around the wreath. When you are finished cut your ribbon and tie a knot and hang.
Hot glue your snowflakes together and place on the wreath.
Here it is hanging on my mantel. I LOVE how it coordinates with the other things on the mantel.
