I shared with you last week in my post on My miracle boy goes back to college… that I would be back this week with some ideas on putting together a college care package. If you didn’t get to read that post please go back and read about our miracle boy. Again, I’ll say I feel very blessed to have a son who is a miracle and one who is able to attend college. It’s exciting to help get him ready to head back to school. Because Drew will be moving in with his sister he doesn’t need furniture, dishes, vacuum cleaner, etc. so I get to focus on the fun stuff and personalize a college care package for him.
Hmmm…. what should I put in the basket? I tried to think about the things he loves. Then I focused on the practical things that he will need. If you know your son/daughter has a favorite item that they love, that would make a great thing to add to your care package. The goal is to let them know you care and that you love them. I have compiled a list of Care Package Ideas.
Here is the list I came up with:
As you can see some of the things are fun and some of the things are practical.
While we’re talking practical make sure you grab your coupon for a Buy 1 Get 1 Schick Disposable razor FREE while the coupons last. This is a fantastic savings and a great way to keep your family stocked up in a frugal way. Also make sure you enter #SchickSelfieSweeps for a chance to win $10,000 towards college tuition! Now wouldn’t that be exciting?
Do you want to inspire your son or daughter to greatness? I’ve included a FREE printable quote for you to frame and add to your care package. I’m a firm believer in keeping positive things in front of my eyes and do that often in my home. Check out the printable section of my blog for many more free printables.
You can download the 8 x 10 print here.
Here is a picture of some of the practical things I’ve gathered for Drew so far:
What kind of things do you or would you put into a College Care Basket? I’d love to hear what that is.
