Some lies are loud.
“You’re not enough.”
“He’ll never love you the way you need.”
“Nothing’s ever going to change.”
But the most dangerous ones?
Are the quiet ones you start to agree with without even realizing it.

Like…
👉 “I guess this is just my life now.”
👉 “Maybe I expect too much.”
👉 “If I don’t do it all, no one will.
These thoughts feel true. They settle into your mind, shape your responses, and over time… start to rewrite your identity.
But they aren’t from God.
They are agreements—and the enemy loves when we sign off on them without asking questions.
What Is a Spiritual Agreement?
A spiritual agreement is when you align your heart with a lie instead of God’s truth.
It happens subtly. Slowly. Sometimes after years of disappointment or emotional survival mode.
But every agreement you make has power—until you break it.
“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” —John 8:32 NLT
3 Steps to Start Breaking Spiritual Agreements
1. Ask the Holy Spirit to Reveal the Lies
Sit in stillness. Pray:
“Jesus, show me any lie I’ve been living under.”
Listen. Write down what comes—without overthinking it.
2. Confess and Break the Agreement
Say it out loud:
“I break the agreement that I’m ________. I reject that lie. Jesus, what is true?”
Then sit quietly and wait for His whisper.
3. Replace It with God’s Word
Every broken agreement needs to be filled with truth.
For example:
-
Lie: “I’m too much.”
-
Truth: “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14)
Repeat it daily. Let your brain and heart rewire.
Friend, you don’t have to live in quiet agreement with defeat.
Jesus came to set you free—not just from sin, but from every lie that’s tried to write your story.
The enemy wants you stuck.
But truth?
Truth wants you free. 💛
