I shared in my 15 Upcycled Projects post that I would be doing an upcycled project for Earth day. So I’m happy to say I accomplished that goal! I created a nautical sign from a drawer front.
My daughter was up last week for Drew’s jaw surgery and we did a little resale shopping and I found this drawer front at Restore for .99. It was perfect for what I had in mind and bonus, I didn’t even have to paint it.
I am redoing my boys bathroom upstairs and we are going with an industrial nautical theme. I ran across this saying on Pinterest and loved it so I got my Silhouette machine out and cut the saying from vinyl. I then cut a sailboat out.
I love it! I love the positive message and I love the simplicity.
I also created these printables for the bathroom.
You can download these 8 x 10 prints here.
I found some burlap canvases at Michael’s on sale and used them to put the picture on and then framed them. Not sure I’m in love with black frames so they might get a coat of paint. That’s the beauty of DIY!!
I can’t wait to show you the industrial part of the bathroom, hopefully next week.
UPDATE: Here is the industrial part of the bathroom. You can see all the fixtures I made here and grab this free printable as well.
